This story relates to nearly 1350 years back. On those days talented sculptors and the the kings who patronised them were there in Tamilnadu. Kanchi was considered to be the centre for learning. It had people following various religions - Jainism,Buddhism,Hinduism living together.

Both the great Pallava Kings were well - educated , interested in arts like sculpture, music, dance, painting etc and also talented in warfare,making disguise.

Among the characters Mahendra Pallava, Narsimha Pallava, Paranjyothi, Pulakesin,Maanavanman,Nedumaran -Pandyan,Mangyarkarasi,Kulachiraiyar were the real persons. All others are purely imaginary.
