After eight months since Mahendra Pallava left with his army the doors of Kanchi were not opened. It was opened today to welcome their commander Paranjyothi. Maamalla Narsimha himself went near the door and welcomed in person. This was a great honour.Soon Narsimha and Paranjyothi became true friends.

On her birthday Sivagami was sitting lonely thinking of Narsimha. At that time Kannan comes there in a chariot carrying Paranjyothi and with a letter from Narsimha to Sivagami. He also mentions that her friend Kamali is pregnant.

Aayanar was disappointed on seeing Paranjyothi for coming back without knowing the secret of Ajanta. Aayanar also felt that he could make Sivagami to marry Paranjyothi which is impossible now because he is a commander of the army.Paranjyothi said that they were supposed to leave their house and go to either Kanchi or to any place in south according to the wish of Mahendra Pallava.

Narsimha describes his dream he had just a couple of days back. It was - "when they were sitting happily together they here birds screaming from a near by tree because of a snake crawling towards them and this made him to take his sword in his dream." He expects a danger for her.But he also says not to leave their house before his arrival.She reads his love letter twice and keeps it in a hole in a tree. Naganandi reads this letter and become jealous.

Sivagami dances very happily in front of Aayanar and Naganandi after a long time. At that time Naganandi describes Maamalla Narsimha as a COWARD and of WORST CHARACTER. She was completely shattered by these words. He said Maamalla as a coward because he was staying inside the fort during the war time.This makes her to believe in his words. He also says that she could dance in many parts of India and gain more fame. She starts imagining everything he said.So, she agrees immediately to leave their home.She also wants to destroy the letters sent by Narsimha.But when she reached the tree's hole she found those letters to be missing. Even Naganandi is shocked on seeing this.

Chatrugnan reports Mahendra Pallava on the incidents following Naganandi as - "Naganandi went to south. He met some other monks and sent messages to all the directions.Chatrugna followed him everywhere. When he reached Madurai outsiders were imprisoned due to the illness of its King.Both of then stayed in jail together for sometime. After the King's demise the Prince succeeded the throne. Then all of them were freed. During this messangers sent to Kanchi to seek the alliance of Narsimha to their Princess Vanamadevi have returned with a negative answer. Naganandi had sought the help of Pandyas for Pulakesin. After that he reached Sivagami's house. "He also gave the love letters written by Maamalla to Sivagami and said Narsimha kept his promise that he did not come out of the fort for the past eight months and completely engaged in strengthening the fort.

Kamali and her husband Kannan were discussing about the existing status disparity in love affair of Sivagami and Narsimha. Then Kannan said he was leaving because he was supposed to ride the chariot for Narsimha who is going to be engaged in war with Dhurvineedhanan, another King who wanted to capture Kanchi before Pulakesin.

Bhuvanamaha devi, her son Narsimha and Paranjyothi were discussing the security of the fort.At that time Chatrugna came in with a news from Mahendra Pallava.In that Narsimha was asked to attack Dhurvineedhanan and he can also meet Sivagami if he wants to.

Sivagami and others with Naganandi were moving towards Chidambaram with her pets a deer and a parrot. She was depressed by Naganandi's words but managed herself in imagining of dancing in front of huge audience in various places. Only to become famous she insisted others to leave home. After travelling a small distance they could here the noise from a gang going to a war. She was confused by the slogans raised in praise of Narsimha by the gang.(how can anyone praise him if he is a coward?) Then Gundodharan came there. (Gundodharan - a spy sent to watch Aayanar's house by Chatrugna - joined as a student to Aayanar).

He said that he saw Naganandi reading letters from the hole of a tree behind their house. This reminded Sivagami the missing letters of Narsimha. Then he also said, Narsimha and Paranjyothi came there and Narsimha became angry after seeing the locked house. Besides these, he also informed them about Narsimha going to a fight against Dhurvineedhanan. The gang, just now passed them is going to join the army. He had a message to Naganandi which was got from another monk.He said the horse in which he was coming also got by stealing from that younger monk. Before knowing this Sivagami expected that Maamalla would have sent him in horse for her.

They all stayed in Ashokapuram. After reading the message Naganandi left them saying that it is very urgent. Naganandi had stolen the horse of Gundodharan. This made Gundodharan to follow him. Sivagami was very angry with Naganandi and felt ashamed of believing his words.
